In CAD, the mouse is
overloaded: Not only is it used to draw, select, and locate, it is used to
select menus and buttons. If voice commands take over the menus and
buttons, voice recognition allows
"on the fly" changes without distracting mouse motion or movement to
the keyboard. The result is higher productivity, new effects, and a
reduction in repetitive motion.
In this application, the mouse can stay on the drawing
surface while voice commands are used to change pen sizes and to select colors
from the palette. This application is part of the step-by-step tutorial
included with SpeechStudio.
