Hardware Requirements
- A Pentium II or later processor at 400 MHz with 128
MB is recommended.

SAPI 5 Disk Space Requirements
- SpeechStudio installs components of the
Microsoft Speech API 5 SDK. These components, including the voice-recognition
and text-to-speech engines, occupy roughly the same total disk space as the
full SAPI 5 SDK, approximately 195 MB.
- SpeechStudio shares files with the SAPI 5
SDK; however, SpeechStudio and SAPI 5 components can be installed and removed
from the system independently without adversely affecting either package.
Office XP
Office XP includes SAPI 5 speech recognition
technology. SpeechStudio applications do not require additional components
of SAPI 5 on systems where speech is already installed with Office XP. To
install speech with Office XP, follow these directions.
